Love doesn't go out of fashion; still pop songs, poems and greeting cards are full of it; We even go so far as to say: Love holds the entire universe together - Hence, without further ado, chosen as this year's festival theme - "Future Love!"
In 2022 we will split our festival number 9 into an A and B version: On 3 and 4 September in the Olympia-Park during the Superbloom-Festival, as well as the edition in Regensburg - also in September! For all further updates, we'll keep you posted here and on social media!
Roberto Cométo, veteran as well as timelessly beautiful pop bard with a penchant for secret excesses, hosts his inimitably glittering pop show on Planeto TV, as he does every year. At his side: assistant Alexa, artificially intelligent and unapproachably programmed. A hard-to-judge all-purpose weapon of undercooled androgyny.
But soon glitter and grey blur and everything gets out of hand: Roberto learns that his emotions can synchronise with a machine. Alexa also encounters the infinite expanse of feeling - or what her software thinks is feeling. She becomes Alexa Bêrg, an artificial hit intelligence who from now on mistakenly believes herself to be an ideal, naturally feeling human being. Meanwhile, Roberto Cométo is afraid that he may not be a human being at all, but only an artificial product of the pop industry.
At the interface of ratio and emotion, both get caught in the vortex of an unpredictable dimension. The human becomes humanoid, the humanoid human, in the end the computer is only human and the human a machine - or vice versa? And what secret do the alien drummer from the rhythm planet Römmtömmtömmtömm, the mysterious cartographer Graf Karto and the surreal, always blue Sigi Stargast actually carry around with them? Do they have any significance at all? Or are they merely a friendly backing band pretending they can play instruments?
Die Antworten kennt nur das philosophische Manifest der utopischen Einfachheit: der Schlager.
A creature enclosed in a virtual cage watches us. Through four digital walls, the creature comes to life, the blue and red 3D glasses transform pixels into flesh. Can holograms awaken our empathy?
